The Ammann Group is among the world’s leading providers of construction machinery, systems and services in the production of asphalt and road construction. The keys to success for the fifth generation of the family-owned company are know-how, customer focus and awareness of quality. In order to project these attributes more intensively online, the website has been redesigned and reprogrammed. In addition to the technological upgrade, usability and uniformity of design are at the centre of the site redesign.
CS2 designed the new presence, developed the concept and handled the technical implementation. In close cooperation with the Amman companies, a multi-faceted and informative website has been created that provides visitors with a comprehensive insight into the range of products and services and the activities of the enterprise. The concentration thereby is on user-friendly communication of information. A clear structure and well-conceived “staging” of the content help users to navigate easily without constraints. Each click takes users from general information to details that can be downloaded in the form of PDF brochures. The site also uses videos, illustrations and images to visualise and highlight the content.
The internet presence was realised using TYPO3. Content and images can thus be quickly and easily managed and updated. Products were compiled in the “Dataman” product management system, which creates the basis for continued and extended utilisation, e.g. for printed catalogues or as a source for additional country domains.
